Vita Vite comes from the Italian words for “life” and “vine” – the idea that life revolves around wine and food, bringing people together in a common space of appreciation for the beautiful things that can enrich life.
Lindsay Rice, Owner
Lindsay Rice is a contemporary travel photographer, wine aficionado and art enthusiast. Her early childhood travels ignited a love of artistry and cultural experiences, a passion that deepened as she explored wines of the world as an adult. Lindsay cultivated her passion for art at Sweet Briar College where she received a bachelor’s degree in Art History and an Arts Management Certificate. She furthered her studies at Georgetown University where she received a master’s degree in Art and Museum Studies. As part of the program at Georgetown, Lindsay also spent a semester studying decorative art and design at Sotheby’s Institute in London. She also earned a level one Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) sommelier certification from Johnson and Wales University.
Her travels across the globe always lead her back to the vineyards where her appreciation for art and wine blossomed into a vision for Vita Vite – a space where her two passions could intertwine. In addition to her love of art, Lindsay maintains a professional photography company. She has worked in various galleries and most recently managed an antique shop while interning in both nonprofit and for profit galleries and museums.
